Clinical Skills/Fellowship Program

This program was developed for the membership of NORA to develop and support the highest level of clinical abilities and scientific knowledge in the field of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation. This process leads to a Fellowship within NORA. It is not a certification process but rather a learning process to help the individual clinician develop deeper knowledge and understanding about Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation with a multi-disciplinary approach.

The NORA Clinical Skills and Fellowship Committees are dedicated to the original goals envisioned by Drs. William Ludlam O.D. and Thomas Politzer O.D. for a multi-level program to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge for those working in the field of rehabilitation. Upon completion of all three levels of the program, participants will be presented with the designation Fellow of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (FNORA). Individuals may also choose to attend the live Foundations of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation (Level 1) and Clinical Applications of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation (Level 2) courses without enrolling in the NORA Fellowship program. These courses are invaluable for developing the foundation knowledge of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation and consistently receive very high reviews from those who have attended.

Attention NORA Fellowship Level 1 and 2 Candidates

 

The 2026 deadline to submit your Open Book Examination Questions (Level 1 Candidate) or the first of two Case Reports following the required format (Level 2 Candidate) to the NORA Fellowship Committee at FNORAofficial@gmail.com is March 31, 2026. This will allow the NORA Fellowship Committee members time to review and provide meaningful feedback.

For candidates who need additional time due to hardships, request for extension should be received by March 29, 2026. The request will be reviewed and granted on a case-by-case basis.
