NORA acknowledges individuals and organizations for important contributions to the area of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation. These awards are presented annually at the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association General Conference. To recommend a candidate for any of those awards where nominations are accepted, please fill out the form on that award’s page and send it along with any additional attachments to Noraconference@gmail.com by June 30, 2022. All nominations are reviewed by the NORA Award’s Committee. Winners will be announced at the NORA 2022 General Conference.
Advancement of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Award
Presented to the individual, group, agency or organization that has demonstrated, by virtue of its actions, treatments or clinical procedures to further the advancement of the art and science of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation.
The Advancement of Sciences Award
Presented to the individual, group, agency or organization that has provided a unique and valued contribution to the science of neuro-optometric rehabilitation.
Founding Father’s Award
Given to those who demonstrate, in their professional actions, a lifelong dedication to the exploration, elucidation, and enhancement of the concepts surrounding the nature of the human visual process.
William and Diana Ludlam Educators Award
Presented to the individual educator or institution best exemplifying the commitment to serving the students and patients in the neuro-optometric rehabilitation effort. This award is selected by Diana Ludlum with additional input from the Awards Committee or others as determined by Ms. Ludlum
Gus Forkiotis Student Award
Given to the student with the best poster or published paper in the area of neuro-optometric rehabilitation. This project will be judged by the NORA student programs committee and committee chair. The winner will receive recognition at the NORA Conference and also will receive a check in the amount of $250.00.
President’s Award
Given to individual who has demonstrated superior service to the organization and/or the area of neuro-optometric rehabilitation. This award is selected by the NORA President who submits the recipients’ name to the Awards Committee at least one month prior to the NORA Conference, with additional input from the Awards Committee or others.
